KoozArch: ‘Awards that extend architectural agency - exploring practices shaping social and ecological futures.’

On 13 November 2025, KoozArch published a publication on the Ammodo Architecture Award 2025, presenting the work and reflections of the year’s awardees across the three categories: Social Architecture, Social Engagement and Local Scale.

The publication brings together essays, interviews and projects that highlight practitioners and communities taking the lead in addressing social and ecological challenges, often through self-initiated initiatives.

A central feature is a conversation with Advisory Committee members Andrés Jaque and Loreta Castro Reguera, who reflect on a discipline in transition, where architects increasingly act as agents of transformation, initiating projects rooted in context, urgency and care.

Alongside this, the publication presents stories about the awarded projects, showing how the Award supports socially and ecologically responsible architecture worldwide. It highlights practices that restore environments, support communities and develop new ways of practising architecture.
